Our Story

In 2020, the world shut down, and we were confined to our screens. The world was changing whether we liked it or not; technological advancements made computer science knowledge a necessity, and we took this in stride. The idea for a CS Club was born, but the real question remained: who do we teach?

Even as the middle school and high school curriculums transition towards a greater focus on programming, a glaring issue is the lack of fundamental knowledge of computers and their logic. Hence it is our ideology that computer function should be a staple in basic education, and we decided to address this in the elementary school classroom. Our journey began in Faria Elementary that year, and we have been running CS Clubs there each subsequent year. We now aim to expand throughout the Bay Area, and bring the wonders of computer science to our childhood schools: where the magic begins.
